We greatly appreciated MyTraffic’s support during a tender we had to respond to urgently. The team was highly responsive and helped us analyze data from several hundred sites in record time. This allowed us to select the sites we truly wanted to equip from all those proposed.

We are currently expanding our network with the ambition to build more than 300 ultra-fast charging stations within the next three years.
Verwendetes Produkt
- Relied on basic tools (Google Maps, MyMaps) to assess site potential
- Used a competitor tool, but it lacked detailed data on EV traffic
- No visibility on the number of electric vehicles per road segment
- Difficulty analyzing large volumes of sites quickly
- Limited ability to run prospective studies on future areas to target
- Can identify under-served areas with high potential EV demand
- Access to detailed vehicle flow data, including EV penetration by road segment
- Ability to run large-scale data imports and get fast, consolidated insights
- Integration of MyTraffic’s kWh potential indicator into internal evaluation grids
- Improved precision in site selection and prioritization
- More efficient decision-making, especially during tenders (e.g., analyzing hundreds of sites quickly)

Can you briefly present Dream Energy and its current strategic priorities?
Dream Energy is a fast-growing ultra-fast charging station operator in France and Belgium. We use energy produced by our solar and hydroelectric plants to power our network of superchargers, in order to create a truly low-carbon charging solution for electric vehicle drivers. We are currently expanding our network with the ambition to build more than 300 ultra-fast charging stations within the next three years.
Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your role and related challenges?
I am the Director of Development for Dream Energy, responsible for expanding our charging network and identifying and selecting the most strategic locations to provide the service where users need it most.
Before using MyTraffic, how did you analyze the attractiveness and performance of locations and catchment areas?
We started by using tools such as Google Maps or MyMaps to study the proximity to major roads or the size of commercial areas, but these tools quickly proved limited for obtaining precise quantitative analysis of traffic flows and footfall in a given area. We also used a competitor’s tool for traffic and commercial zone attractiveness analysis, which helped us define our quantitative quality standards for the sites we select.
What limitations did you encounter with your previous methods or tools?
Our previous tool did not allow us to know the number of electric vehicles on a given road segment, nor to conduct prospective studies of areas to target. We also struggled to analyze multiple sites quickly with an efficient data import system.
How did MyTraffic help you overcome these previous difficulties?
With MyTraffic, we can analyze areas that are currently under-served by competitors and where EV drivers might need charging stations. We can also import data to quickly obtain results across a project portfolio.
What key performance indicators have improved since adopting the platform?
Since adopting the platform, we have integrated the estimated kWh “potential” calculated by MyTraffic’s algorithm into our qualitative analysis. This tool combines all available objective quality criteria from the platform and provides a score that helps us estimate a station’s potential.
Do you have specific success stories or testimonials to share?
We greatly appreciated MyTraffic’s support during a tender we had to respond to urgently. The team was highly responsive and helped us analyze data from several hundred sites in record time. This allowed us to select the sites we truly wanted to equip from all those proposed.
What concrete decisions have you refined or changed thanks to EVConnect data?
We improved our site analysis framework to make it more precise and to integrate all the elements provided by MyTraffic, including the number of electric vehicles using a road segment, taking into account their origins and destinations.
How do teams use traffic data on a daily basis or across the network?
We first use traffic data to analyze the relevance of a site, and then to compare it with the site’s actual traffic once operational. If the two differ, we try to understand why and extract new criteria to continuously improve our site selection process.
Would you recommend MyTraffic to others in your sector? If yes, why?
Yes, MyTraffic is a powerful analytics tool that consolidates all the data we need to assess the quality of a charging station location. The teams are also very responsive and quickly implemented the modifications we requested on the platform.
