Why we raised €30 million

November marked an exciting moment for Mytraffic! We raised 30 million euros in a seed round led by AXA Venture Partners (AVP). We are pleased to have reached this new milestone and extremely grateful for the loyalty of our customers, advisors, board, and, last but not least, our amazing team 🌟


Mytraffic was founded in 2016 when we realised that retailers had no way of identifying where was the best location to open a shop. Indeed, they made their decisions solely based on assumptions. 

This discovery led us to take action. We built a data intelligence platform to empower retailers and commercial real estate actors. The goal: empower data-driven decisions on physical locations. We took the time to build an effective product, easy to access, user-friendly and with insights accessible on demand.

And today, we’re entering a new era.


Our ambition is to bring location analytics to the same level as web analytics. In other words, we are setting a standard for the quality and quantity of intelligence real-world operators have access to. That’s why we transform raw data into actionable insights. 

Today, Mytraffic is the leading location intelligence platform in Europe. We help over 400 customers analyse more than 10,000 locations across Europe, and there is more to come. 


Over the next 24 months, our team of 100+ data managers, data scientists, data engineers and product managers will enrich our insights with additional high-value aggregates:

  • 🚗 Vehicle traffic: complementary to footfall, this data is essential for assessing the number of people visiting shops and restaurants in suburban activity zones, where the car is the main means of transport, and which are experiencing strong traction since the end of lockdown restrictions.
  • 🛒 Location-based consumer purchasing habits to better estimate the relevance of a store opening
  • 💶 Rent value, to compare footfall dynamism with rent value and better negotiate leases


As we strongly believe in the impact of our product, we thought it was selfish only to help French Retailers and Real Estate players. That’s why we are expanding our solution to a European level.

Thanks to our latest fundraising round, we are now able to offer the full range of our services in 7 European countries: France, the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and the Netherlands. And this is just the beginning.


In each of these countries, we need the best talents from around the world to help us empower professionals with the best insights on the market.
