What is Congreso AECC 2026?
Congreso AECC is the leading event for Spanish retail real estate. The 22nd edition takes place on 30 September–2 October 2026 at the Palacio de Congresos in Palma de Mallorca, bringing together around 1,400 decision-makers: developers, shopping-centre operators, investors, retailers and institutions.
This year's theme, "Retail en Movimiento," matches a Spanish market moving fast. In the first quarter of 2026, shopping-centre footfall rose 5.6% year-on-year and retail investment jumped 84.8% versus the 2025 average. But the growth is selective: dominant locations and footfall quality win, not raw volume. In other words, location decisions leave no room for guesswork.
