Customer's problem
Our client, a multi-brand fast food operator, has developed a network of several hundred outlets in France, mainly in the form of franchises. The performance of its outlets varies. The nature of its fast food offering means that its revenue is highly dependent on foot traffic in front of its outlets.
Thanks to internal analyses, the Commercial Network Development Department already has a wealth of data on its network's catchment areas. However, this client approached us to gain a better understanding of the performance of its outlets by analyzing foot traffic.
MyTraffic Analysis
This client therefore opted for our solution, unique on the market, which combines physical counting with a proprietary algorithm to estimate traffic flows by time slot, for each day of the week, in a reliable, accurate, and independent manner, for numerous street sections where the group is present.

Traffic measurement has strengthened our client's analytical capabilities, enabling them to compare the performance of their various points of sale. This is an essential step in refining their commercial location strategy, both for their current portfolio and for future openings.
MyTraffic recommendation
By analyzing foot traffic, the retailer was able to make more reliable decisions about managing and expanding its store network.
Following this pilot program, the client decided to extend foot traffic measurement to dozens of its stores. It also decided to optimize its portfolio by closing several stores with insufficient foot traffic. Finally, it refined its criteria for finding new locations by selecting street sections with foot traffic exceeding 4,500 pedestrians between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays.
