We would recommend MyTraffic without hesitation. It is a platform that provides access to comprehensive, reliable, and easy-to-use traffic data. The double advantage lies in the clarity of the visuals and the availability of easily usable files, which makes it a real asset for our analyses.

The challenges are twofold, first identifying the most relevant locations to ensure that each station meets real user demand and second, predicting future charging scenarios so we can measure investment costs.

Without MyTraffic
  • Relied on comparisons with stations in similar geographic areas.
  • Used municipality penetration rates as a proxy for attractiveness.
  • No precise data on traffic, catchment area size, or monthly footfall.
  • Couldn’t track traffic flows (journeys, destinations).
  • No insights into sociodemographic profiles of people in the area.
  • Result: less accurate estimates for user demand and weaker investment decisions.
With MyTraffic
  • Access to reliable, comprehensive traffic and sociodemographic data across the territory.
  • Faster and more accurate site analysis.
  • Improved site selectivity: identify which features make a site a true point of interest.
  • Reduced time spent studying each site → more sites analyzed per month.
  • Teams use data to build predictive models for station footfall.
  • Ability to measure the impact of new stations on visitor flows after installation.
  • Could you briefly introduce GREENSPOT and its current strategic priorities?

Greenspot is a French company specialized in the installation, operation, and maintenance of charging stations for electric vehicles (EVSE).
Our goal is to connect local stakeholders and EV users to create a local charging network.

At Greenspot, we believe that progress should be accessible and responsible. That’s why we aim to make access to electric mobility easier in our regions, so that everyone can drive freely while reducing their environmental impact.

Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role and its related challenges?

My name is Clément, and I am a Data Scientist at Greenspot.
My role is to support decision-making by developing algorithms to analyze potential sites for installing charging stations.

    The challenges are twofold:

    • Identifying the most relevant locations to ensure that each station meets real user demand.
    • Predicting future charging scenarios so we can measure investment costs.

Before using MyTraffic (EVConnect), how did you analyze the attractiveness and performance of locations and catchment areas?

Before MyTraffic, our main approach was to analyze the performance of stations located in comparable geographic areas, using the penetration rate of the municipality as a reference.

    D) What limitations did you encounter with your previous methods or tools?

We lacked precise data about the traffic of a given location, its catchment area, and its monthly footfall.
    This prevented us from:

    • Understanding traffic flows around a site, including journeys and destinations.
    • Gaining insights into the sociodemographic characteristics of people present within the catchment area.

As a result, our estimates were less accurate in meeting EV users’ needs and in ensuring the relevance of our investment criteria.

How did MyTraffic (EVConnect) help you overcome these difficulties?

MyTraffic (EVConnect) helped us overcome these challenges by providing reliable and comprehensive road traffic and sociodemographic data across the territory.
This makes site analysis faster and more reliable.

Which key performance indicators have improved since adopting the platform (footfall, sales, conversion, targeting accuracy)?

Since adopting the platform, we have improved site selectivity by identifying the features that make them points of interest for us.
We have also reduced the time required to analyze a potential site, which allowed us to increase the number of sites studied each month.

What concrete decisions have you been able to refine or change thanks to EV Connect data?

We have been able to quickly and efficiently select new installation sites to expand our charging station network.

How do teams use the footfall data on a daily basis or across the network?

We use the data provided by MyTraffic to build predictive models, combining it with other aggregated sources to feed our prediction models.
This set of precise data and GPS location characteristics allows us to estimate the footfall of our stations.

How do EVConnect insights help you understand the impact of charging stations on visitor flows to your sites?

After installing a charging station at a site, we can analyze changes in footfall at that location.
This allows us to estimate the value of installing EV charging stations as a way to attract more visitors.

Would you recommend MyTraffic to others in your industry? If so, why?

We would recommend MyTraffic without hesitation. It is a platform that provides access to comprehensive, reliable, and easy-to-use traffic data.
The double advantage lies in the clarity of the visuals and the availability of easily usable files, which makes it a real asset for our analyses.
