Anthony Wilkinson is Growth Content Manager at MyTraffic, where he has written most of the company's blog and market study output since joining in October 2025. He covers retail expansion, franchise development, food and beverage location strategy, and the way footfall data feeds a site selection decision.
He came to location intelligence from two other data-driven startups. He spent two years as Communications Manager at SKEZI, a healthtech company working on research data, then a year as Content Manager at Wink, an ATS development firm. Both roles involved explaining a technical product to people who are not technical, which is most of what he does now.
His writing method starts with something happening. A brand opens, a trend takes hold, a heatwave empties a high street. He looks at how the story is being told, then checks it with MyTraffic's own footfall data, which covers more than 10 million locations at 10 metre accuracy across 18 countries, to see whether the numbers agree. What he publishes is the gap between the two, plus what a retailer or a franchisee in that sector should do about it. Recent examples include the Labubu effect on store visits, why luxury retailers are opening cafés, and whether European footfall predicts moves in US stocks.
